Source: GNA - Mrs Amy Appiah Frimpong, Acting Executive Director of the National Theatre, has called on stakeholders and institutions to assist the National Theatre to offer programmes that project positive images of the Ghanaian arts and culture.

She said this would help the theatre to deliver on its mandate of promoting and presenting the performing arts.

Mrs Frimpong said this at the launch of the second edition of the Ghana Theatre Festival 2015 held in Accra.

The Adekyem Festival of the chiefs and the people of Bechem Traditional Area have been launched at Bechem, the Tano South District Capital.

The Festival which has for its theme ‘’Unity and Development’’ would be celebrated in November, 2015 with a number of activities to be climaxed by a ground durbar.

The 14th Dodze Deza festival has been launched in Accra, with a call on citizens of Dzodze and other members of the public to patronise the event to enjoy the rich heritage and culture.
